How can I breathe to you,
to sigh my concealing heart?
I’m through thinking in blue —
shaded feelings from the start.
Not dark, nor saddened:
just happily maddened,
waiting, with time, examining;
waiting, severely calculating,
to strike with words before I’m damned —
for when I do, it’ll be elating.
I can’t hold it back much longer.
Would love be that which makes us stronger?
