Summer slows as Fall draws near,
when long days cease to reappear.
The colors and the feelings change
in Autumn’s ride down memory lane;
the wind moans slowly on the breeze
while leaves fall to the first hard freeze.
Snow so white in winter blows,
chilling wind that never slows,
ice like aggregated stone
drops from veiled skies unknown —
created as to smite the fall,
releasing winter to the brawl.
Loved or hated, all agree
the love was shown for all to see.
This time of year was chosen well —
the time when light from heaven fell.
Now peace with God we can attain:
God sent His Son for us to gain.
