In the world we write our lives to insanities,
where no consciences exist, we live in fantasies.
Can you feel the lines of hate spoken on the breeze,
or do you choose not to listen — not to even see?
Just stop, just think, just care for a minute — and imagine you’re in it.
The world walks a dark path, winding down the street,
hurling its people down without skipping a beat.
Did we ever stop to think to stop and think? Time sheet.
No time — your crime is that you’re never complete.
Just stop, just think, just care for a minute — and imagine you’re in it.
That’s empathy: the key to guarantee that everyone is happily free.
Well, sorry for the way that the world treated you,
but there’s much worse in store for less than a few.
If you stop your self-pity, maybe we can push through —
actually help the world with its worldview.
Just stop, just think, just care for a minute — and imagine you’re in it.
That’s empathy: the key to guarantee that everyone is happily free.
And when we stand together, strong, almost invincible,
we can demand the world that we want. Seems sensible.
Or is our world, with all its sorrow, too painful to bear?
Are we too preoccupied inside to even try to care?
Well, to me that selfish type of thinking isn’t really fair
to all of the people pushing past and through their dark despair.
Unequal describes our people in more ways than one.
No sequel, no bribe — life lies to us under the sun.
Yet we forget our place as one, and instead we run.
Do we really like our future, falling one by one?
People fall as if they’re shot by a submachine gun.
The only solution now is to admit we haven’t won:
care collectively a little, else I fear that we’re done.
Just stop, just think, just care for a minute.
