Can darkness be a form of light —
to say that laws can be undone?
Can daylight shine within the night,
where black would color white and sun?
Are feelings felt? Can they be known?
Our minds are always on the move.
We say our love is something shown;
I ask if love can be removed.
Would I fall up if you were down?
The rules of life are always vague.
Can you sense a soul, like sound?
I want to know if morals fade.
So shadow-shine, and breath align —
but only in my waking mind.
I thought I’d found what was a sign,
but I will never draw the lines.
